The Adventures of the Zolan Dart, My Review

(Stickers were made by artist Melissa Thomas)

In my last blog, I promoted The Adventures of the Zolan Dart with the release date. In this promotional blog, the adventure has already been released and this time I'm giving my review. I absolutely loved the audio drama! I've listened to the story 3 times already and I plan on listening to it even more times after I finish writing this. I'm also actually listening to it while I'm typing this haha. I personally enjoy this adventure so much that I think it's totally worth listening to more than once.

The Adventures of the Zolan Dart starts out with an opening crawl that is voiced by the Narrator, Charlotte Errity. The crawl is fantastic. It sets the tone for what's going on in the galaxy and right from the beginning I feel like I'm listening to something Star Wars. Charlotte's voice makes the crawl even better because the sound of her voice is so soothing.

The 3 main characters were cast perfectly! Keila Rosado who plays Navsana Otoah, Brian Ballance who plays Relldar Sias, and Logan Westover who plays MURPH-E work so great together. They did a fantastic job portraying that they've been a crew together for a while. I really love the arguing between Relldar and MURPH-E.

Of the 3 main characters, MURPH-E is my favorite character. It's amazing how the Sound Designer, Kristina Morss, was able to change Logan's voice to sound like a droid. I honestly love all of the characters. All of the voice-over actors did a spectacular job playing their characters. Each character was so different and had a very unique personality.

Speaking of Kristina Morss, she is truly amazing. Not only was the way that she altered Logan's voice for MURPH-E fantastic, but she gave the entire audio drama life. The sound throughout the entire story is crisp and clear. The transitions are outstanding. Everyone's voices come together perfectly. The sounds that she made for The Zolan Dart ship are so cool.

It is recommended for everyone to listen to The Adventures of the Zolan Dart with headphones on at a decent volume so that you can capture all of the hard work that was put into the background noises that you might not catch at a low volume. I will say that it is definitely worth it to be able to hear all of the background noises. The background noises helped me feel even more a part of the world.

The Adventures of the Zolan Dart keeps my attention throughout the entire story from beginning to end. It is such a refreshing take on Star Wars with a completely new and original story filled with all brand new characters. I do plan on publishing a 3rd final promotional blog that will have art work for the audio drama and listed characters.

I love this story so much that I really hope that they're able to make a sequel. Out of 5 stars, 5 being the best, I would rate The Adventures of the Zolan Dart 5 out of 5 stars. When you listen to it, be sure to listen all the way through the end of the credits, which are once again spoken be the relaxing voice of Charlotte Errity. At the end of the credits you get to hear from the Producer Savanna Oudit and from the Writer/Director/voice of Relldar Brian Ballance. You can catch this adventure through The Dorky Diva Show podcast feed. I hope you enjoyed reading my review on the audio drama. Maybe it will inspire you to want to listen and join in on The Adventures of the Zolan Dart. So until my next blog, I hope hope you all have beautiful days ahead of you.
