Speaking of Burgers!

jaredbenner55

Remember in my first blog when Brooks Burgers made it on my donut list for the Donut Burger? And remember when I talked about the film project titled "Burger Bait" in my second blog? Well... speaking of burgers! I thought I'd make lists of the best burger places in my opinion. I've had burgers in multiple states in the United States. I've had burgers in Belize. I don't remember, but I might have had a burger in Canada even. Basically, I've had burgers all over the place. That being said, I'm not going to rank every single place that I've had burgers because I'm not going to remember every place & to make that list it would probably take forever. I've come up with a top 10 list for what I think are the best burger places. Before I get to that top 10 list, lets answer a few other questions.

For starters, here's my answer for the classic question of "McDonald's or Burger King?' :

I choose Burger King over McDonalds. I do like McDonald's, but I like Burger King better. At fast food places I almost always go for the burgers & Burger King ultimately has bigger sized & better tasting burgers in my opinion. I like how Burger King has seasonal burger flavors, especially around Halloween time. Plus, Burger King has the Impossible Whopper which tastes just like a normal Whopper.

Since we're on the fast food track, here's my list of the top 5 fast foods (Not including the above 2)-

5) Dick's Drive-In: This fast food chain is located all over the Seattle area. You drive there, stand in line to order & then you can sit in your car to eat or go somewhere else to eat because they don't have places for you to sit. You can get multiple burgers & shakes at a really affordable price & the burgers really hit the spot. If you're in Seattle, you got to stop at Dick's at least once.

4) Wendy's: I love their Dave's Triple burger. I like their unique square shaped patties. Of course the Frostys are great.

3) Culver's: Not only do they have delicious burgers, but they also have delicious ice cream & shakes. They also have great customer service bringing the food to you at your table when you dine-in.

2) Sonic: Sonic also has delicious burgers, as well as ice cream & shakes just like Culver's. They also have tater tots as a side option which is what I almost always ask for as my side. They also bring your food out to you here, but if you're lucky the employee will come out on roller blades, which is awesome.

1) Checkers: This fast food chain almost made it on my top 10 list of burger places until I remembered this other place, that's how good I think Checkers is. I used to love going to Checkers with my dad when we first moved to Florida & then they eventually took away all of the Checkers in my town. Since then I've been to the location in Orlando, FL a couple of times or so, but I definitely miss having it in my town. I would always get their Big Buford with fries & a banana milkshake. The fries are so delicious,

There are 2 burger places that don't necessarily qualify as a fast food places, & just like Checkers, they almost made it to my top 10 list.

One is Steak n' Shake which specializes in making steak burgers & their milkshakes are really good. You get kind of an old diner type feel when you dine-in here & the prices are really great for anyone on a low budget.

Red Robin, Just like Steak n' Shake, this place has really good burgers & milkshakes. Although Red Robin isn't as cheap as Steak n' Shake, the burgers here are much bigger than at Steak n' Shake & are therefore worthy of costing more.

For funzies, one last thing before I get to my top 10 list. Of these fictional animated places, which would I most want to go to for a burger? Being able to breath isn't an issue.

The Krabby Patty at the Krusty Krab, The Burger of the Day at Bob's Burgers, Krusty Burger from The Simpsons, or at the Shore Shack from Rocket Power? Honestly, being that I love food I would try them all. But if I had to choose one, it would be at the Shore Shack from Rocket Power. Not only was Rocket Power airing in the 90s & I was born in the 90s, but it's right across from the beach. The Shore Shack sounds like a really good time.

Finally, here's my list of top 10 burger places:

10) BurgerFi: This place has all natural burgers that are so good. They even have a list of vegie burgers & vegan burgers to choose from, although I go for the meat burgers. They even stamp their name "BurgerFI" on the buns which is a cool added effect.

9) Five Guys: The burgers are definitely a lot greasier than #10 on the list, but they are so delicious & I love how you can choose as many toppings as you want. They also give you a brown bag over loaded with fries. I always get the Cajun Fries that are so good!

8) Ford's Garage (in downtown Fort Myers): This place has a really cool atmosphere. It's like you're actually in the garage of an auto shop, kind of, & it's so cool. They have a model of a really old Ford vehicle attached to the ceiling. Just like BurgerFi, they stamp their name "Ford's Garage" on the buns for a nice added effect. Not only that, but this particular location is in the middle of downtown Fort Myers, so you can enjoy the area around you as well if you choose to sit outside. This place also has really good Mac n' Cheese.

7) Wahlburgers (Orlando location): This place is owned by the Wahlberg brothers. That's right, this restaurant is co-owned by Paul Wahlberg & his actor brothers Donnie & Mark Wahlberg. The whole time that I was sitting down at this restaurant I couldn't stop thinking about how I was in a restaurant owned by celebrities. Yes, the burgers were really good.

6) Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville (in Key West): Cheeseburger in Paradise is a great song by Jimmy Buffett. Imagine actually having a cheeseburger in paradise. If you're in Key West you're already in paradise. Jimmy Buffett has a restaurant on Key West & the atmosphere there is really cool & the cheeseburger that I had was also really good.

5) Kid Valley Burger: With locations in the Seattle area, this was a nice place that I got to share moments with my dad at. Not only are their burgers & milkshakes delicious, but they also have tasty deep-fried mushrooms that I've ordered every time as a side.

4) Brook's Burgers: This place must sound familiar to you. It's #5 on my donut list & #4 on my burger list. Brook's Burgers is the Voodoo Doughnut of burger places. All of the burgers, as well as their milkshakes, are so unique & different from other burger places from a burger with glazed donuts as buns to a burger with peanut butter on it,

(Brooks Burgers' Donut Burger) (Side note, even though the picture underneath my plate was dated for Dec.21, which is my birthday, I was not there on my birthday, it was just a coincidence)

3) The Beacon Drive-In: I've only been to this place once & it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I was in Greenville, South Carolina for a week. One day we went into the next city over in Spartanburg to serve the community & we stopped at the historical "The Beacon Drive-In" for food. The atmosphere remined me of "The Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. You have to move in line a certain way & speak at exactly the right time & already know what you want when it's your turn. The way the orders were yelled out to the cooks was great. Not only was the experience something else, the burgers were so mouth-watering good. When you order with onion rings, your tray is over-loaded with super greasy, super delicious rings. I don't actually remember being able to finish the onion rings.

2) Cheeburger Cheeburger: This place used to be my favorite place in Naples, FL to get burgers, before they took away all the locations in Naples. Now the closest one to me is in Sanibel Island, FL of which I've been to that location twice. First off, how can you not like the name "Cheeburger Cheeburger." The milkshakes are delicious. My favorite part about this place is how huge the burgers are. I love food, so I love really huge burgers. I would always order their largest burger, My picture is somewhere on the wall at the Sanibel location for being able to finish the largest burger.

1) Burger Express: This is another place that I got to share some moments with my dad at. It's located in Federal Way, WA which just so happens to also be the city that I used to live in when I lived in Washington State. Just like a lot of the places on this list, the milkshakes are so delicious. The biggest reason this place makes the #1 spot on the list is because of the gigantic Boz Burger. The burger is so huge & it's named after former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Brian Keith Bosworth who was nicknamed "The Boz." The Boz went from the NFL to being an actor. The Boz burger has a special place in my heart, or maybe I should say "in my stomach."

Those are my thoughts on burger places. I hope you enjoyed it. So until my next blog, I hope you have beautiful days ahead of you.
