Nuts For Donuts!

I've recently thought about donuts. I love donuts & some donut places are better than others in my opinion. I decided to make a list of the places that I remember eating donuts from in my life, ranking them from least favorite donuts to favorite donuts. I'm sure there's a lot of delicious donut spots out there in the world, but this list is specifically based off of my experience.

8) 7-11:

(7-11 Heart, Valentine's Day donut)

I'm sure I've had donuts from 7-11 before I started working there, but since I've worked for a 7-11 I've had a lot of free donuts from this gas station. Even though I place 7-11 donuts in last place, I do think that the donuts here are pretty good for gas station donuts, especially if you heat them up in a microwave.

7) Dunkin':

(I think the one in my hand is the Coconut donut?)

Of all the donuts I've had in my life, I've probably had Dunkin Donuts the most. This food chain does have a good selection of good tasting donuts to choose from & although I prefer the beverages at Starbucks, Dunkin' does have pretty good hot chocolate to go with the donuts.

6) Trackside Donuts & Cafe: I've never actually been inside this place, but I've had their donuts that some of my adopted parents had brought back. I've driven by the building many times before & for such a tiny place they have great tasting donuts.

5) Brooks Burgers:

(Brooks Burgers' Donut Milkshake)

Yes this a burger place. Why then is it #5 on this list? The Donut Burger. They have a delicious unhealthy burger that is sandwiched between two glazed donuts. It's probably a heart burn waiting to happen, but it's so good. They also have a donut milkshake that's really good as well.

4) Krispy Kreme:

(The day I went to the Krispy Kreme that opened up near me)

For the longest time I would hear about the famous Krispy Kreme Doughnuts from other people. They didn't have any close to me growing up. When I spent a week in South Carolina we drove by a Krispy Kreme when the light was on, but we didn't go inside. I think the whole deal where, if the light is on that means that they have really fresh donuts is such a great idea. Just a couple of years ago one opened up in a city close to mine & I brought back donuts to my D&D group & they were so good.

3) Top Pot Doughnuts (by Puget Sound): This is the only Top Pot location that I remember going to. What I love so much about this place is not only the great tasting donuts, but also the location. Not only is it in Seattle, but it's also right across from the beautiful Puget Sound. The location is what makes this specific Top Pot Doughnuts special to me.

2) Voodoo Doughnut (Universal Orlando Resort):

(Me sitting in the donut chair)

The only location that I've been to is the one right outside of Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. I went there after having a really fun vacation at the theme parks . They have a giant chair made of fake donuts that you can sit in for pictures. When you go inside there are so many unique & different donut flavors . Between the theme park experience & the Uniqueness of the donuts, this place makes it to my 2nd favorite on my list.

1) Duck Donuts:

(Blueberry Lemonade donut, Pina Colada donut, & Smores donut)

I just went to the location in Naples, Florida for the first time last week & it's technically the reason that I thought of making this blog. It was so delicious. Just like Voodoo Doughnut, Duck Donuts has so many unique & different donuts to choose from. What places this shop #1 on my list is that you get to watch them make the donuts right in front of you & when you bite into these donuts they taste hot, warm & fresh.

That's my list for you. I hope it inspires you to want to eat donuts some time soon. So until my next blog, I hope you have beautiful days ahead of you.
