So I'm going to backtrack a little bit in this blog. First off, if you've been keeping up with my blogs, you may or may not have noticed that my username for the blog site is "jaredbenner55." Well, one part of the reason for that is that I was being cheap and didn't want to pay extra to create my own URL. If you know me, you know that I'm not 55 years old & I wasn't born in 1955. So what's the deal with the number 55 you may or may not be wondering? Well... there was a time where my accounts got hacked and so at the time that I changed my information, my dad was 55 years old. So now you know about that.
I don't know if anyone has explored the blog site itself that I have or not, but there is a quote page on it. The quote is "It's a beautiful day to be alive." - Whitney Simmons. Also, you may or may not have noticed that I've been ending each blog by saying "I hope you all have beautiful days ahead of you." What inspired me to encourage beautiful living in my blogs? It is actually Dr. Derek Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy that inspired me. Before he would start each surgery, Dr. Shepherd would say "It's a beautiful day to save lives." I thought that I would wake up each day and think to myself "It's a beautiful day to be alive," and that maybe that would start my days on a positive note. It wasn't until I created this blog site that I found out that my quote came from Whitney Simmons.
The word "beautiful" has been a nice part of my life even from a young age. When I was younger my dad and I would bond over the band U2. One of U2's great songs is titled "Beautiful Day." Here's the music video for it from the YouTube channel U2
There are many things that I find beautiful. Here's a list of some of them:
Washington State
(Me in Seattle, Washington)
Belize
Wild Life
(Me feeding a wild monkey in Belize)
Mountains
(Mt. Rainier, not in person, I think I used it as a Facebook cover photo at one point)
Beaches
(Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida)
Babies
(Around Christmas 2019)
Puppies
(12 year old me with Gizzy)
Christmas Lights
(Me next to a lit up tree)
Bodies of Water
Waterfalls
Ruins
(Me gazing at Mayan Ruins)
Those are just some of the things that I find beautiful. Of course, I find women to be very beautiful. Maybe this will get you thinking about what you find beautiful. So until my next blog, I hope you all have beautiful days ahead of you.
