(Just a selfie that I took on 12/28/21)
The 2021 year is coming to a fast end. I will be finishing my "Things I'd Like to Do (Canada Edition)" series some time next year. In this blog I'll be looking back at events that took place in my life during the year 2021. So let's get started.
In January, I got to be a part of the audio drama titled "The Adventures of the Zolan Dart." I went over to the Writer/Director's home where he recorded me making background voices for the audio drama. That was a lot of fun and being able to listen to the audio drama once it was complete was awesome.
In February, I started doing online dating. I had been single for about 5 years at the time that I started the online dating, so it was about time that I got back into the dating scenario especially since I'm not getting any younger. I did go on my first date since I was with my ex. The date went well but we both decided that it wasn't going to work out. I've slowed down with the dating apps since that date.
In April, my birth mom moved back to the United States. In 2002 she moved back to Belize where she was born. With the way things were going with Covid and stuff, it was safer for my mom to be over here with my dad and I in Florida. We were also able to fly two of my mom's dogs over here as well. It's been nice having them around.
I did get fully vaccinated with the Covid vaccine. I'm still yet to get the booster shot, but I'll get that next year. Out in public I wore my Chewbacca mask that I got for Christmas last year and so many people had a brief moment of joy out of seeing my mask.
In July, I had a doctor's appointment for the first time in years. It was just to have a checkup on my health. Also in July, I switched jobs. I was an Assistant Store Manager at a 7-11 and I quit that job to be a Shift Lead at a Walgreens on Marco Island. Walgreens pays me more money and it's a better working environment.
A little bit of back track, in February I started making Tik Tok videos. I went into it with no expectations. Ten months into it I have 235 videos. I have 2,165 followers and a total of 5,063 video likes. I know I'm not a famous Tik Toker, but I didn't expect to get so many followers so quickly.
For Halloween this year I was Michael Myers Having a Nightmare. I wore the Michael Myers mask with the Freddy Krueger sweater and claws. I did have to work on Halloween but while I was working I got to wear the Freddy Krueger sweater.
In November, I got to go to a Medieval Times Fair with some family. The fair was a lot of fun and I got to hold a piglet there. I was off from work on Thanksgiving so that was nice. It was the first Thanksgiving that I got to spend with my birth mom in years. Also in November, I became an ordained minister, so I can now legally officiate weddings.
In December, I turned 31 years old on the 21st. I had 4 days off from work starting on my birthday. On my birthday, some of us went to go see "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in theaters and then a bunch of us had dinner at Miller's Ale House afterwards. On the 22nd for my first time I went to Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios in Disney World and I had an amazing day. I spent the night at a hotel after that so that I didn't have to drive home tired. On the 23rd after I got home from Disney my parents and I went to an engagement party for one of my adopted sisters, the same one of whom I will be officiating her wedding in 2023. Then on Christmas Eve my parents and I went back to the same family for dinner & I spent the night so that I could be there for the opening of the gifts after midnight. I did have to work on Christmas day, but I got to spend the rest of Christmas after work with another family of mine.
Those are the major plot points of my life for the year 2021. I couldn't type up every little detail or else this blog would be too long. I hope you enjoyed reading about the events of my year and that you all have beautiful days ahead of you and a happy New Year!
